Fw: REQUEST FOR NATIONAL GUARD PRESENCE
--- PLEASE FORWARD ---
Dear Americans,
Please read the email pasted below. It is a request for California National
Guard assistance to preserve the right of Americans to peacefully assemble
and speak in Baldwin Park on Saturday, June 25. It was sent to the Governor
by a prospective participant in this upcoming rally.
There are credible fears that opponents of the First Amendment of the U.S.
Constitution will bring deliberate, violent confrontations to this assembly.
This is part of a continuing effort by anarchist and criminal elements of
our society to roust Americans from their freedom of speech through intimidation
and threats of physical violence.
The exercise of the First Amendment of the U.S. Constitution is in serious
jeopardy when it is controlled by those who threaten harm to anyone who exercises
that right.
The right to assemble and speak freely, the First Amendment, is the cornerstone
of the very foundation of this great nation. When that right is suppressed,
by any means, then America is no longer a land of the free but a land governed
by anarchists and control-freaks...the wanna-be Saddam Hussein's of the world.
If you value your right to peacefully assemble and freely speak your mind,
please write, telephone, and/or email a request to the Governor's office requesting
National Guard presence at this rally. I urge you to correspond with the Governor
of California immediately regarding this matter. This issue is as grave as
it sounds.
Please read the email to the Governor pasted below.

Subject: REQUEST FOR NATIONAL GUARD PRESENCE
Governor Schwarzenegger,
I am emailing to request the NATIONAL GUARD be deployed on Saturday, June
25, 12noon - 2pm, Metro Station, Downing and Pacific, Baldwin Park, CA.
American citizens will assemble on that date, to protest a divisive monument,
built on public land, with public funds.
The National Guard is needed to avoid a repeat of the Baldwin Park Riot that
occurred, on May 14, 2005 in Baldwin Park, CA.
I was at Baldwin Park on May 14th for a peaceful sidewalk rally, along with
about 40 other American citizens. Hundreds of counter protesters rallied two
blocks away - we were told the two groups would be kept separate.
However after about half an hour, the hundreds of counter protesters were
allowed to encircle the 40 of us assembled. In spite of a heavy police presence.
I still remember as the hundreds began to march, I kept thinking, OK the police
will stop them now. The police will stop them now.
But the police did not stop the hundreds. They were allowed to march and encircle
us.
Among our 40 we had four children, two teen aged girls, senior citizens. We
had a baby in a stroller. Women and men.
And yet the hundreds literally encircled us. And raged.
There were signs that read, "White Trash." Is that not hate speech
on an American sidewalk? We were called white trash. There were counter protesters
who yelled for us to get in the sun, so that we would get cancer.
There were signs that read, "Minutemen Beware."
They would yell, "Racist scum go home." There was a sign that read
RACIST with a pig head under the words.
The hundreds were allowed to rage. To curse. To perform vulgar hand and body
gestures. As their numbers continued to swell. Shrill. Out of control. Perilous.
As I stood terrified and surrounded, the most chilling aspect of this riot
was when I would look up and see men in full head masks. And backpacks.
Men in masks were free to roam. There was a sense - a feel of impending murder
in the air.
During this scene of domestic terrorism, a 66 year old woman was struck with
a water bottle to the head. She was rushed to Queen of the Valley Hospital
- with an abnormal Cat Scan. She was hospitalized in ICU over night.
What did police do to stop this domestic terrorism? They ringed themselves
around us, but let the mob rage!
This is why governor, as a group assembles in Baldwin Park, we respectfully
request the National Guard be present in order that a second day of domestic
terrorism does not
occur.
Or even worse, killing - the massacre of American citizens on an American
sidewalk.
